đ Your affirmation for the weekend
Ideas and inspiration are infinite and abundant â I choose to seek them out

As artists, weâre told that âcreative blockâ doesnât exist. Or, if it does, itâs as easy to overcome as âgetting inspiredâ.
Meanwhile, if youâve ever tried to force yourself to create while youâre blocked, you know it can backfire and make you feel worse.
Thatâs because we often skip the âget inspiredâ part and go right for the âget to workâ part.
Next time you get creative block, pause. Instead of beating yourself up, get curious about the ideas out there, just waiting for you to pluck up the courage to seek them out.

𤲠What Iâm creating this week
Hey! Iâm Mel, founder here at Joyful Creators Club.
This week, I finally published that short story commission Iâve been teasing in the last couple newsletters. Set in the universe of the Fallout video game series, this post-apocalyptic tale is all about a man and his cat. I even designed the page in Falloutâs Vault-Tec colors!
Apart from that, Iâve been doing lots of design and web dev work for my human rights projects. Coding doesnât always feel like a âcreativeâ activity, but itâs always rewarding to see your designs come to life!
How are you liking the prompts for Indigenous Heritage Month? Let me know! Iâm having so much fun discovering artists whose work is infused with so much culture and color.
Until next weekend â stay crafty!
Mel
